An introduction to US antitrust law

The intersection between intellectual property law and antitrust law is an area that is vitally important for IP strategists to understand and the US market is of course a market that is of particular interest to IP strategists from every corner of the globe. For these reasons Douglas Broder’s ‘U.S. Antitrust Law and Enforcement’ published by Oxford University Press should be of interest to anyone with an interest in IP strategy.

Douglas Broder’s book gives a concise, easy-to-digest introduction to the complicated field of US antitrust law and enforcement. The book contains a detailed section on patents and antitrust under the Sherman Act and runs through all you need to know regarding enforcement. Also, very handy for non-US based readers, is a quick and simple run down of the US federal and judicial systems. I highly recommend ‘U.S. Antitrust Law and Enforcement’ for IP advisers from around the globe.

Two people familiar with the potential probe spoke on a basis of anonymity with Bloomberg.
