Everyone has their own way of doing things
From Class 46, comes this:
In the vicinity of Nizhny Novgorod (Ни́жний Но́вгород), Russian authorities use nothing less than T-80 battle tanks to flatten counterfeit merchandise.
A more forceful variation on the usual steam roller / road roller approach.
Is this overkill, bare practicality or insightful?
What do you think?

Having a family member who makes a living in the “Russia business”, my guess is that the proprietor of the shop where these goods were to be sold did not meet his financial obligations to the local government authorities (i.e. the tip jar wasn’t appropriately filled). Typically, we don’t see such aggressive enforcement of IP rights in Russia for the purpose of upholding the rule of law alone.
Jackie – I’m speechless
Does anyone know of where I can find video of the steamroller approach to counterfeits?
