Ben Lehman is an experienced technology and IP lawyer and was previously General Counsel of Melbourne IT Limited, an ASX listed company and one of the world's largest domain name registrars and providers of online services. Ben has advised many public and private clients in all aspects of technology transactions and has served in a senior non-partner role at a leading international law firm. Ben also holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and worked previously as a software developer and network administrator.

Carolyn Ralph

IP Strategist

Carolyn has completed the requirements to register as a patent attorney and is completing her Masters of Intellectual Property Law at Melbourne University, Australia. Carolyn has Bachelor and Masters degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Toxicology. She has held a range of scientific, regulatory and intellectual property roles in pharmaceutical, biotechnology and chemical research institutes and companies of varying sizes in Australia, Europe and North America. On the scientific side, Carolyn’s work over the past 20 years has included roles in drug formulation and pharmaceutics, analytical, organic and natural product chemistry, biochemistry, physiology and pharmacology.

Kate Timmins

Office Assistant

Kate originally studied psychology at undergraduate level. She has also worked in a professional service firm providing desktop publishing and document management services to corporations of all sizes for the past 14 years. Kate is one of our movers and shakers and works tirelessly behind the scenes to get things done.

Marie-Louise Mortimer

Intellectual Capital Manager

Marie-Louise has worked in knowledge management since 2001. Before joining our firm, Marie-Louise served in an important knowledge management role in a leading international law firm where her work specialised in intellectual property. Marie-Louise has a Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) and has also worked in risk management and undertaken research for leading legal and financial services firms.

She has a world class and outstanding skill set which has been perfected in various executive assistant, knowledge management, human resources and general managerial roles. Duncan Bucknell

IP Strategist, Lawyer & Patent Attorney

Duncan is an IP Strategist, lawyer, patent attorney and a veterinarian. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Patent & Trade Marks Attorneys and a Principal Fellow at the Melbourne Business School where he co-teaches ‘Strategic Management of Intellectual Property.’

Duncan is also an Associate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
