Honk OK Please

This is the sign on the back of many trucks and buses in Mumbai / Bombay.

They're saying - 'let me know if you're there - I don't want to bump into you any more than you want me to'.

Makes for a lot of noise- but, surprisingly few crashes (especially given the pot holes, animals etc on the streets).

Though I haven't run the stats, I wouldn't be surprised if IP Rights owners who 'Honk' about their rights also have less bumps and scrapes (in court).

[There are some exceptions to this, of course - usually when the IP Rights protect something of high value and other forces dramatically increase incentives to copy - such as Regulatory hurdles in pharmaceuticals.]
