Number 1 ranking - thanks so much

A number of people have pointed out to me that IP Think Tank is currently ranked first amongst the world's top intellectual property blogs by BlawgSearch. (IP Think Tank has this ranking for today, this week and this month.) We're obviously delighted with this since the blog has only been going for a relatively short time.

We're also currently ranked 8th overall amongst all blawgs (law blogs) around the world.

I must confess that I don't understand how this is calculated, but we're certainly very flattered, and wanted to say thanks so much to all of our readers and subscribers. We have a number of exciting projects on the go which I'll tell you more about as soon as I can.

Interestingly, some of the most popular blogs around (by traffic on Alexa) are ranked lower. So this is clearly not indicative of traffic.

Actually Duncan, that may not be true about the traffic. Alexa is notoriously errant on traffic reporting and is often wildly in error.

According to justia, the source of the ranking, Blawgs are ranked based on the number of visits to the Blawg from the BlawgSearch search engine and directory listing pages.
